Secondary School Placement
While Montgomery students are embracing the wonder in every day, they are also preparing for what’s next—always advancing to their own next level of achievement.
That might happen in the next activity, project, grade, athletic contest, and—in the case of a middle schooler—the next school. The secondary school placement process at Montgomery begins officially in the spring trimester of a student’s 7th grade year. The head of Middle School works closely with students and parents or guardians to tailor a list of best-fit schools that will align with individual interests, talents, and needs.
The responsibility for the secondary school selection process ultimately rests with students and their families, but Montgomery has earned a reputation among the secondary school community for guiding and supporting families with great care and expertise. Montgomery alumni find success at a wide range of secondary schools and the impact of their early education continues to yield results in college and in the world.
