Before and After School
Montgomery School provides before and after school programs for Montgomery School students in Preschool through 8th Grade. The following is a description of these programs and cost.
Early Morning Care
Lower School
Children in grades PreK-6 who arrive as early as 7:30 a.m. must go directly to the gym for morning supervision. Younger students should be escorted to the gym by their parent or guardian.
Middle School
Students in grades 7 & 8 may instead go to the cafeteria for grab-and-go breakfast or go directly to their home room.
Afternoon Care
Montgomery School offers a robust, age-specific Afternoon Care program for children who need care beyond the end of their school day. Enrollment takes place at the start of the school year and families will be charged in 8 monthly payments between September and April via the FACTS tuition payment system.
Full-time Afternoon Care is for children who will attend afternoons on a regular basis. A commitment is made for the entire school year, and families are charged regardless if the child attends every day or not.
Hours:
Monday through Thursday until 6:00 p.m. and Friday until 5:30 p.m.
(excluding school holidays and some select days)
Playhouse - Grade 8
Providing care for students after the school day ends, our Extended Afternoon program offers opportunities to complete homework, enjoy a snack and play, and participate in structured activities.

Drop-in Afternoon Care
Drop-in Care is for students who need care on an occasional/per diem basis
- Open to students in Playhouse - 8th Grade
- Your child's dismissal plan will need to be updated in Pick-up Patrol on the day/s your child will attend Afternoons
- If picked up before 4:30 PM, cost is $25 per day
- If picked up after 4:30 PM, the cost is $35 per day
- At the end of each month, you will be billed via FACTS based on the usage of care
Late Charges
Afternoon Care ends promptly at 6:00 PM on Monday through Thursday and 5:30 PM on Friday. There will be a late charge of $10.00 for every 15 minutes after the end time for parents who pick up their children late, including Playhouse.
Terms and Special Circumstances
Payment is expected in full within ten working days of the invoice date and is the responsibility of the custodial parent. Unpaid bills over 30 days may result in suspension of the extended day privileges.
Parents meeting with a teacher or attending a meeting or activity related to school will not be charged if their children attend the early morning or afternoon program.
