Wednesdays, April 3, 10, 17, 24, May 1, from 3:45-4:45pm

Calling All K-2nd Graders! What causes something to sink or float? How can engineers help explore and protect the ocean below? These questions and more are all explored in Junior Marine Engineering. In this class, students explore the concepts of marine engineering and mechanics, harnessing the power of water, and discovering designs that help us make the impossible, possible.

Tuesdays, April 2, 9, 16, 23, 3:30-4:30pm

Part of our PreK Enrichment Series! Color & Create is a fun 1 hr class where kids can enjoy using paper, glue, scissors, crayons, markers, paint, pottery, and more! Ms. Janney will teach and inspire the students in this fun class. Students will have a snack and drink before each class begins. Pick up will be in the PreK Classroom. Projects include a Pottery Piggy Bank, Melted Crayon art, a seashell project, and tote bag craft as well as some other smaller projects.

* Please send an Old short sleeved adult T-Shirt to be used as an art smock. Make sure to write your child's name on it and send it in a zip lock bag.

Thursday, April 11th, from 3:45-5:15pm

Do you love colors? Do you like to do experiments? Well Acrylic Pour painting is super fun and it combines science and art together to make a beautiful work of art! This class is messy though so a change of clothing is required that can be permanently stained without worry. You will make a small sample canvas to test your color choices then you will create a larger one using the steps you learned on your sample canvas.

Evening of Tues. May 14th performance.

Do you have the acting bug? Come join the cast as we are instructed by the SALT Theater troop as they help us become our favorite fairy tale characters and put on a show! You will have tons of fun dressing up and acting with your friends!

Chess is a game of mental skill. It focuses the mind and strengthens problem-solving skills. Chess teaches its players how to think several steps ahead and to anticipate several possible moves from their opponents. Chess is definitely a "Mind Game" molding the mind and building mental aptitude. Whether you have played before or are learning for this first time this class is a blast!
