The 2020 Winter Enrichment classes are now open for registration. They make a perfect gift & stocking stuffer from Grandparents, Aunts & Uncles, and Moms & Dads! We even sent a letter to the North Pole so Santa knows about them too! If you register before Dec. 17th we will mail out a holiday gift card so you can give your Gift of Enrichment in an envelope! Below you will find the classes that are open for registration at this time. You can register and pay online using the button above. All students who are attending an Enrichment that starts at or after 3:30pm will go to the Afternoons program for a snack & Homework time before class and they will be picked up there and signed out by parents when class ends. Prek Classes will have their snack and pick up in the PreK room. We have a great year of after school fun in store, come join us!
Dates: Wednesdays, Nov. 20th & Dec 4th, 3:10-5:15pm
Mrs. Walton will be teaching an Enrichment Class where students will learn to make SIX holiday pottery ornaments. Students have a choice to make several designs and can choose which ones they will make. Students will learn how to work with clay, how to form shapes and designs, and how to glaze their fired pieces. The Ornament Class will have TWO sessions: On Wed. Nov. 20th students will make the ornaments out of wet clay and on Wed. Dec. 4th students will glaze and decorate the ornaments. The times for the classes will be from 3:10 to 5:15PM. Students will receive a snack at both sessions. All students are to be picked up in the Middle School Art Room between 5:15- 5:30PM or an additional charge for Afternoons will apply. The finished ornaments will be ready to take home the week of Dec. 9th. This class is for K-6th graders.
Students will need a change of clothing that can get dirty or stained!

Let's get into the spirit of the season with our PreK friends! We will make 6 holiday ornaments. Two Paint swirl balls, Two pattern melted plastic ornaments, and Two pointed pottery ball ornaments. We will swirl, glaze, and decorate to our hearts content! Finished pieces will need to be fired in the kiln and others dried. The ornaments will go home the week of Dec. 9th.

Montgomery's Afternoon Enrichment Classes are offering a class for four days after school to make holiday cookies! At 3:10 PM students will receive a snack and then will be taken into the kitchen to learn how to make holiday cookies. Each child will make at least 2 dozen different cookies each day for four days, Monday-Thursday. On Thursday each student will take home cookie bags filled with between 150-200 cookies for the holiday break!!! The cookie sessions will run from 3:10 to 5:00PM. Students are to be picked up and signed out by 5PM or will be sent to Afternoons where an additional fee will be charged. For Grades K-6th
Cookies to be baked are : Snowflake & Mitten Cut Out Butter Sugar Cookies, Mini Gingerbread Spice Cookies, Special cookie:Traditional Chocolate Chip, & Triple Chocolate Cookies. All recipes used will be NUT FREE.

Ms. Janney & Miss Andrea from our Montgomery kitchen will help our PreK Bakers make holiday sugar cookies! PreKers will get to decorate with colored sugars, sprinkles, and mini candy canes! 2 dozen cookies will go home to enjoy with family and friends. Cookies will be NUT Free.

Industrial Engineering: The Junior Industrial Engineering classes introduce our youngest engineers to fundamental concepts of simple machinery, cooperative building, and the assembly line process. Through open and focused exploration, students explore and construct simple machines and then use an assembly line process to produce a delicious treat!Fee: $165.00
Tuesdays, Jan. 7, 14, 21, 28, from 3:45-4:45pm
Ms. Knauer will teach you how to work with wet clay to create several projects: pinch pot creation (start with a pinch pot and morph it into something else),slab vessel (wall pocket), coiled pencil holder,and a free choice piece - one free-clay project of your own design! Learn how to layer, shape, and texture the wet clay to create 3D pieces. All clay will be fired and glazed to make your art extra beautiful and functional.

Environmental Engineering - Go Green: During the Environmental Engineering classes, students use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and refine basic solutions related to alternative energy and environmental issues. They learn principles behind crafting efficient wind-powered machines and discover how those machines can be used to help reduce the use of fossil fuels. During the culminating project, students test different materials to discover which ones most effectively clean up after an oil spill.Fee: $165.00

In today's world set at such a fast pace, learn how to de-stress, relax, and re-focus your mind and body. Learn the tools and techniques at a young age to help you manage your schoolwork, family, friends, and future stresses that you may encounter as you grow into adulthood using yoga, and mindfulness skills. This class is specially crafted for PreK Minds & Bodies!
