School Spirit
Montgomery School was buzzing with school spirit this week! Students and faculty not only participated in the fun"drop the dress code" themes, but also provided donations for The Lord's Pantry in Downingtown for those in need. We ended with week with a fun and energetic pep rally followed by "Friday Night Lights" boys and girls basketball games against Westtown School! It was wonderful to see the community come together in support of our mighty Herons! |

Parent Conferences: March 9 and 10 As a reminder, the performance dates for Beauty and the Beast, Jr., are March 9, 10, and 11, which coincide with the dates for parent/teacher conferences. Please be sure to mark your calendar for both events! |

Donate a book in honor of your child's birthday!
Celebrate your child's birthday with a special book for Montgomery's Bennett Hill Library. For a $20 donation, you may select a book from the list provided on the order form or you can give Montgomery School the option to select a book that is needed in the library collection. Your child’s name will be placed on a bookplate inside the book and it will be placed in the library. See example.

Monday, January 16 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
No School School will be closed on Monday, January 16 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 17. |

Monday 1/30 - Friday, 2/3 CTP5 Testing - No Chapel 3rd-7th Grade Students Third through seventh grade students will be taking the CTP 5 standardized tests 1/30-2/3. Please remember to keep the week as stress free as possible. Enjoy more family time as this is a “no homework week” for these grades. There are also no Chapel presentations this week.

Saturday, February 4 Admissions Winter Carnival & Super Science Saturday 10:00 - 11:30 AM
This event is for prospective families who are interested in Montgomery School for next year. Since it is a community outreach event, Montgomery families are welcome if they bring along a prospective family to get to know Montgomery! As a thank you, students who bring a prospective family will receive their own personal "dress down day!" |

Saturday, February 11 Family Ski Day at Bear Creek
Please RSVP by February 8 to let us know if you'll be attending the family ski day at Bear Creek. As a reminder, this is not a school sponsored event; participation is completely voluntary and is open to all who wish to spend the day together at Bear Creek.
Each family will need to purchase their own tickets and arrange for transportation. Click here or below to refer to the email that was sent on December 9th for details. |

Monday, January 30 "Light the Night" Event Planning Meeting 8:30 AM The MSCA is working on planning the spring community event, and would love to have you join them! The meeting will be held on Monday, January 30 at 8:30 am in the 2nd floor conference room of the Farmhouse. |

Lights Donation/Lending Request
In preparation for Light the Night, we need to borrow your lights! We can use string lights, rope lights, flood lights, spot lights, black lights, disco or party lights, exterior and interior, and extension cords! If you wish to donate lights to the MSCA for this and future use, please put a piece of tape on them and label, "MSCA." If you wish to have your lights returned to you after the event, please label with your name. Labeled lights and extension cords can be placed in the "light the night" bin on the Farmhouse porch. We appreciate your assistance in helping us light up Monty!

Save the Date!
Join us in a world of Pure Imagination! The Montgomery School Annual Benefit will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 6:30 -10:30 PM at the beautiful Springton Manor Farm in Downingtown, PA. The Annual Benefit is our largest social fundraising event and a not to be missed celebration with dinner, live band and dancing, open bar, and live and silent auction.
Get Involved
We will be hosting a kick off planning meeting for interested volunteers to help with decor, gift baskets, games, and more for the Benefit on Monday, January 23 at 8:30 AM (following drop off) in the Dining Room. Coffee and pastries will be served. If you can’t make it, please let us know and we will be in touch!
