Celebrating our Students

With daily opportunities to stretch their capacity for growth, Montgomery students are always discovering more about themselves and the world around them. Throughout their journey they will experience success and failure - both of which we celebrate at Montgomery. We encourage our students to focus on their efforts rather than the outcome, because that is where the learning and growth happens.

ANNOUNCEMENTS • REMINDERS • DEADLINES

Donate a book in honor of your child's birthday!

Celebrate your child's birthday with a special book for Montgomery's Bennett Hill Library. For a $20 donation, you may select a book from the list provided on the order form or you can give Montgomery School the option to purchase any Lower School or Middle School book needed in the library collection. Your child’s name will be placed on a bookplate inside the book and it will be placed in the library. See example.

Spirit Week and Friday Night Lights

Montgomery School's traditional Friday Night Lights basketball games will be held on Friday, January 13th, starting at 6:00 PM. We hope you all can join us!

This week (1/9-1/13), the Student Government and Athletic Association will be hosting Spirit Week in support of our athletes! The details for each division are listed below:

Monday 1/9: Dress Like a Teacher (Middle School ONLY)

Tuesday 1/10: Twin Day (Middle School ONLY)

Wednesday 1/11: Pajama Day (ALL SCHOOL)

(Remember to wear appropriate shoes for outside)

Thursday 1/12: Favorite Jersey Day (ALL SCHOOL)

(Wear for favorite team’s jersey or colors)

Friday 1/13: Monty Spirit Day (ALL SCHOOL)

(Wear your Montgomery Spirit Wear or school colors - maroon and white)

The fee to participate in SPIRIT WEEK is $2 and should be given to your child's teacher. All funds collected during the week and from Friday Night Lights will be donated to Lord’s Pantry in Downingtown.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

No School

School will be closed on Monday, January 16 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 17.

Saturday, February 4

Admissions Winter Carnival & Super Science Saturday

10:00 - 11:30 AM

This event is for prospective families who are interested in Montgomery School for next year. Since it is a community outreach event, Montgomery families are welcome if they bring along a prospective family to get to know Montgomery! Thanks for your help spreading the word.

Family Ski Day at Bear Creek

Please RSVP by February 8 to let us know if you'll be attending the family ski day at Bear Creek. As a reminder, this is not a school sponsored event; participation is completely voluntary and is open to all who wish to spend the day together at Bear Creek.

First-time skiers/snowboarders, experienced skiers/snowboarders, and students or parents and guardians interested in alternatives to the slopes are all welcome to join in the fun! The resort offers tubing, a comfortable lodge, and even a spa option! Details are as follows:

Each family will need to purchase their own tickets and arrange for transportation. Click here or below to refer to the email that was sent on December 9th for details.
