How students learn is just as important as what they learn. At Montgomery, students are exposed to experiential learning on a daily basis - just as you see our kindergarten students doing in these photos! When students participate in this type of learning they are better able to grasp concepts, develop creative problem-solving skills, and reflect and analyze the material they are learning. |

Chapel Reminders
Chapel is held several times each week and is a wonderful time for us to gather together in the spirit of community and reflection. To help set the tone, we kindly ask that students and guests remain quiet once the music begins and as students process to their seats. We enjoy seeing so many of you each week and hope all our families get the chance to attend Chapel throughout the year. Keep an eye on the calendar for 8th grade chapel presentations starting this month! All Chapels are held in Bell Hall at 8:30 AM Middle School Chapel - Tuesdays
Lower School Chapel - Wednesdays

Monday, October 3 Student Portraits Order Deadline Don't forget to order your student portraits! For those who had their
child's photo (re)taken last week, you will receive the proofs this week via email, from Little Nest Portraits. The email will also include the ordering deadline. |

Tuesday, October 4 at 9:00 AM New Middle School Parent Coffee All 6th grade and NEW 7th and 8th grade parents are invited to a casual "check-in" with Allen Vandegrift, Katie Sillup, and Mike Toomey in the Dining Room, following Middle School Chapel. |

Wednesday, October 5 Yom Kippur, No School In observance of Yom Kippur, there will be NO SCHOOL on October 5th. Classes will resume on Thursday, October 6th. |

Friday, October 7 at 9:00 AM Lower School Look and Learn
Please invite friends and family who may interested in Montgomery School to register for our upcoming Look and Learn events. This is a great way to see all Montgomery has to offer. The first one will be held for Lower School families on October 7th, following Chapel. Future dates and details can be found here on our website.

Saturday, October 15 Practice ISEE Exam (8th Grade) 8:30 - 11:30 AM On Campus
A practice ISEE exam will take place for all 8th grade students on Saturday, October 15th. The test begins at 8:30 AM; students should arrive no later than 8:00 AM. |

Order in or take out and support Montgomery School! There are two dine-out days scheduled in October: -
October 12, 11am-9pm at Anthony’s Coal Fire Pizza, Exton (20% of all food sales donated to MSCA); mention “MSCA Fundraiser” when placing your order, or add “MSCA Fundraiser” to the comments section when ordering online.
