There are two choirs at Montgomery School: Lower School Choir and the Middle School Elective Choir. The LS Choir is comprised of 4th and 5th graders who meet once in a rotation. This group performs during the Holiday and Spring concerts. Students learn and sing various genres of songs in two or more parts throughout the school year.
Open to all Middle School students as an elective class, the Concert Choir rehearses twice during a six-day cycle. This ensemble gives opportunities for students in 6th through 8th grades to sing on and off campus. An ambassador of Montgomery School, this ensemble performs regularly during important School events. A wide range of repertoire is taught, including many popular and contemporary songs. The Concert Choir travels to neighboring shelters and retirement homes to bring songs to local communities. Students commit to participate in the choir throughout one school year.
