The Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit program (EITC) allows businesses in the Commonwealth to earn a tax credit for up to 90% of certain Pennsylvania taxes when they make a donation to a designated “scholarship organization” like Montgomery School. Funds received under this program provide support to Montgomery’s need-based tuition assistance program and help us make available our educational experience to the most capable students regardless of their financial circumstances.
For 2010-2011 a total of $40.2 million has been made available on a first-come first-served basis for contributions to qualifying scholarship organizations. Any business can apply to the DCED and, if certified, you may contribute these funds to our scholarship program. To participate in the EITC program, contact the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) for the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program (EITC) at (717) 787-7120. Application forms are available online at
www.newpa.com (search on EITC). For additional information about this program, please contact Kristen Stevens, Director of Development at Montgomery School, 610-827-7222, extension 213 or
