Enrichment Programs

The school day ends for Lower Schoolers at 3:15 and for Middle Schoolers at 4:15 (Monday-Thursday, 3:15 on Fridays.) Montgomery School offers several after-school activities, including after care, sports, and art options.

Lower School students may participate in the after care program for a daily fee, until 6 PM. The after care program includes an option to complete homework, and various activities like crafts, games, and computer time.

In addition, students in 3rd through 5th grade may choose to participate in Intramural sports for a fee. This program meets twice a week from 3:15-4:15. A variety of sports are explored and students are introduced to the basic rules of various sports in this program.

In 5th grade, students may choose to participate in a drama production between spring break and the end of the year. The practice takes place from 3:15-4:15 Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. A final performance is given in late May.

The last hour of the school day for Middle Schoolers is a required period in which students have ten sports to choose from throughout the year, including girls’ field hockey, boys’ and girls’ soccer, cross country, boy’s and girls’ basketball, boys’ and girls’ lacrosse, boys’ baseball and girls’ softball. They may also choose an art option in the first trimester, or drama (a musical), in the second trimester.
