Up Up and Away

During the Aerospace Engineering classes, students use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and refine a variety of flying machines. They construct a shock absorbing system designed to protect two marshmallow astronauts in a lunar vehicle, create their own air-powered rockets, and assemble a model blimp that actually takes flight! Become an awesome Aerospace Engineer!

Coding is an art form that requires creativity and skill. Use your logical and creative abilities to learn how to write and use computer coding to make wonderful things happen on the screen.The course uses a product called micro:bit and parts of Python (real programming). Exercise your brain and have fun with your friends creating awesome coding projects!

Building and Programming Robots for grades 1 - 3: Students will build Robots and then use a software program to teach their Robots what to do. Will the wild animal move and make sounds? Will the sports figure make the winning shot? How about programming a plane's propellers to turn at different speeds depending on whether the plane is flying up or down! Fun programming and creative skills!

Chess is a game of mental skill. It focuses the mind and strengthens problem-solving skills. Chess teaches its players how to think several steps ahead and to anticipate several possible moves from their opponents. Chess is definitely a "Mind Game" molding the mind and building mental aptitude. Whether you have played before or are learning for this first time this class is a blast!
