Because of the glare of windshields, unless they are held up or on the visor, the carline teachers cannot read them. This is imperative for the safety of the students and to ensure efficiency during the dismissal process. DEADLINES AND REMINDERS Reminders from the School Nurse Medications If you need to send in over-the-counter medications for your child to take during school hours, it MUST be in its original bottle with a note from the parent/guardian with instructions of when to dispense it, for how long, and the reason. If it will be longer than 10 days, it must be accompanied by a doctor's note. Prescription medications MUST ALWAYS be in the original bottle, with the child's name and a doctor's note.

IN THE SPOTLIGHT Systems of Linear Equations Students in Mrs. Macciocca's 8th grade math class learned how to solve systems of linear equations by graphing. Each group of 3-4 students were given a box with a problem and supplies. Students had to read the problem, write a system of equations for the problem, and create a graph using string, duct tape and sidewalk chalk to ultimately find the solution.
Mrs. Macciocca's goal in using this method was not for students to gain deeper conceptual understanding but to create a memory linked with how to find the solution of a system using a graph. AROUND CAMPUS The Bake Sale is Back! The Middle School bake sale is back in full swing! Middle School students will have the opportunity to purchase baked goods and snacks every Thursday during their 10 AM break. The bake sale is hosted by the 8th Grade Class as a fund-raising initiative to support their end of year events.
