Young Americans "Homestay" Families Needed!

 If you are interested in hosting two or more Young Americans, please email Julie Diaz or call her at 484-889-7421 with any questions.  All 3rd - 8th GRADE PARENTS - please be sure to return your waiver and T-shirt order asap for your student to participate in this event.

Grades 3-8, Drop the Dress Code for Young Americans 11/13 & 11/14. 

Grades 3-8 should drop the dress code on Monday and Tuesday as they will be singing, moving, and dancing with the Young Americans. Make sure they wear comfortable clothes, and sneakers are best.  

ALL SCHOOL 3:15 Dismissal on Tuesday 11/14.
There will be an All School 3:15 Dismissal on Tuesday, November 14th. Afternoons will be available. All Middle School students assigned to 4:15 car will be changed to 3:15 car and all 4:15 bus riders will be changed to the 3:15 bus. Please be sure to make a dismissal change, if necessary. We hope you plan to return in the evening for the Young Americans performance at 7 pm.

Veterans Day Chapel, Friday, November 10th

On Friday, November 10th, we will be celebrating our Veterans Day Chapel. Please extend an invitation to all veterans to join us for Chapel. 

Dress Up Day, Tuesday, November 21st

Tuesday, November 21st is an all school dress up day.  Boys should wear a tie and blazer, or tie and sweater with nice pants (no jeans). Girls should wear dresses or skirts of an appropriate length or dress pants with a dressy sweater/top.  Thanksgiving Chapel will be held from 2:15 - 3:00 pm in Bell Hall and an All School 3:15 pm dismissal will follow. Afternoons will be available.

Register Now for Bring a Friend to School Day, 11/20

Does your child have a friend outside of school who might enjoy spending a day at Montgomery? This is their chance! On Monday, November 20th, Montgomery School will be hosting our 5th Annual "Bring a Friend to School Day." Many of our local school districts have the day off from school that day, so if you know of a family who might like to send their Kindergarten through 6th grade child to spend an entire school day at Montgomery, please let them know about this opportunity. Applications for Sibling Enrollment are Being Accepted!

The fall enrollment season is not just for new families! Current Montgomery families with young siblings who would like to attend Montgomery School next year should begin the application process now. Mrs. Goggins is scheduling student visits for November and December. If your intention is to have your younger child(ren) at Montgomery next year, please contact Mrs. Goggins in the admissions office to begin the application process.

The Montgomery School yearbook is now available for preorder. You may order online using this link. Paper forms will also be sent home with students soon.  Contact Ms. Nguyen with any questions. 

Visiting Artist Week - Can You Help?

The Lower School Visiting Artist is looking for couches, loveseats, and furniture pieces that you would be willing to part with. These items will be transformed into art pieces so please keep in mind that it will no longer resemble its original form. Suitable donations would be pieces that have many layers within (cotton, fabric, springs, stuffing). Thank you from the Art Department!

Adult Enrichment: Pottery Snowman Workshop Wednesday, November 29th
Join us for this fun night with Montgomery parents & friends! Paint a 8 & 1/2" tall pottery bisque snowman and enjoy some munchies and beverages! Class is from 6-8:30pm in the Montgomery Art rooms. Cost is $30.00 per person. Please bring a small bite to share and your favorite beverage. Email Wendy Walton to reserve your spot!

Enrichment Spotlight: Holiday Pottery Ornaments & Cookie Class
Come make beautiful pottery cut out ornaments from wet clay to decorate your tree or give as gifts. And, the 4-day Cookie Class is coming soon! Make a different cookie on each of the 4 days and take home 150-200 cookies to share, enjoy, and give as gifts over the holidays! Both classes are for K-6th graders.
